A product on the Mercury 91 subdomain
Earth 91 lives at earth91.mercury91.com as a focused product site under the Mercury 91 brand. The parent site covers the wider Mercury 91 story; this site covers what Earth 91 does, how it handles your data, and practical guides for field use.
Earth 91 is operated by Alphesda Interactive Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Australia. Contact: connect@alphesda.com.
What Earth 91 is for
Earth 91 is built for people who spend time in country without reliable mobile coverage: off-roaders, campers, bushwalkers, and anyone who wants a private field journal tied to a map. You can download or import offline map packs, record GPS tracks with the screen locked, pin places with notes and media, and export or back up your data when you choose.
Core features work without an account and without uploading your journal to our servers. Optional map catalog downloads use Firebase only to deliver public map pack files and metadata.
What is in the app today
- Offline PMTiles maps with Victoria bundled and other Australian states available from the catalog
- GPS route recording, replay, rename, delete, and GPX or GeoJSON export
- Place journal with pins, notes, photos, video, and voice attachments
- Local backup and restore, plus places GeoJSON import and export
- Battery-aware recording profiles and map filters for style and trail difficulty
What is not in the app yet
Earth 91 is not a social travel feed, cloud-synced diary, or turn-by-turn navigator. Trip plans, stargazing modules, iOS parity, and optional cloud backup for journal data remain on the roadmap. We document scope honestly so you know what you are getting.
